PhotoSVR's custom Rig, the shoot process and deliverables

PhotoSVR designed our hardware for scale.
The entire physical camera rig is designed to be assembled from commonly available components, with the minimum of custom manufacturing. The rigs can be set up to handle a variety of products and sizes, making them physically scalable too.
The idea is that they can be deployed anywhere, and set up to plug in the software in far shorter time-frames than manufacturing and shipping would require. This strategy makes them more affordable and easy to deploy than any other 360 rigs available, while delivering far more image data, faster and with more flexible output options
Designed for scale
Our technicians need a solid photographic understanding, and use this to place and setup the focus points and animation angles for the 8 cameras.
From there the hardware automates the shoot of over 300 images in a 5 minute capture process.
The image data is then uploaded to the PhotoSVR Service Delivery Platform, where stills and metadata can be managed.
From this point, unless marketplace specific edits are required, the product images are ready to deploy, in 2D and 360°3D, or used to create spin video and animated gifs, making them a valuable source of social and web content.
